On April 15, 2013, 25-year-old Jessica Masker was trying to rebuild her life after a difficult period. She had just been released from the hospital and was staying with family in Indianapolis. That evening, her aunt dropped her off at her cousin’s house on the east side of the city.
Tragically, that would be one of the last times her family saw her alive.
A Night That Changed Everything
Later that night, around 3:00 AM, Jessica got into an argument with her cousin and decided to leave the house. She walked to a nearby gas station on East Washington Street. Surveillance footage captured her inside the store. At approximately 4:30 AM, she was seen leaving the gas station on foot.
And then… she vanished.
Jessica’s family immediately knew something was wrong. It was completely out of character for her to go silent. She was a devoted mother to two young sons and would never have abandoned them. Despite extensive searches, interviews, and appeals for information, no solid leads emerged.
A Loving Mother
Those who knew Jessica described her as a caring and family-oriented young woman. She had faced challenges in her personal life, including a troubled relationship with her boyfriend (who was later arrested for assaulting her shortly before her disappearance), but her priority was always her children.
Her sudden disappearance left her sons without their mother and her family with a painful void that has never been filled. Years have passed, but the questions remain:
- Who did Jessica meet after leaving the gas station?
- Did she accept a ride from someone she knew?
- Or did something far more sinister happen in those early morning hours on East Washington Street?
Still Searching for Answers
Despite the passage of time, Jessica’s family has never given up hope. They continue to advocate for answers and keep her memory alive, hoping that someone, somewhere, holds the key to what really happened that night.
Jessica Masker was last seen wearing clothing suitable for mild weather. She is described as a white female, approximately 5’4″ tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was 25 years old.
If you have any information about Jessica’s disappearance, please contact the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
